Braswell96

I like your enthusiasm, but how do you see next years basketball team winning 28 games. We are losing Jordan Roper and Landry Nnoko. Grantham is so unpolished it's ridiculous. Holmes can't shoot. Djite sucks. We don't truly know if these 3 transfers are going to be as good as they say. And by next year teams will be keying in on Jaron Blossomgame. I hope you're right but I don't think we can replace ropers defense or offensive ability. That man does so much for this team

Roper was 6-18 yesterday from the field. He is a streaky and dangerously inconsistent shooter. If he takes 7 shots or less (hot or not) and focuses on PASSING the ball for assists, we usually win. This is consistent. There is no way that a college player should be taking 18 shots when the high scorer only took 11. Know who has the hot hand and ride it. Our guys have trouble with this concept.

The information that I have is that the transfers in waiting are much better than our current guards. Quality guard play is essential to top level competition. The best teams have the best guards protecting the ball, shooting, passing, playing great defense and even rebounding. I am hopeful that the transfers will get us there.

Ropers 6-18 is still better than we're gonna get from anybody else. And he's still our most consistent shooter, whether he is consistent or not. Lets be honest, we're gonna have 3 new contributors getting their feet wet to start next year. When has Brownell ever had this team ready to play coming into a season? We always start slow and having 3 players come in that have never played together will be even more challenging. Marquise Reed can score, But Mitchell can't shoot. I've played pickup basketball with him and he can't handle high level competition.

Mitchell transferred from Vandy b/c he simply wasn't good enough to play

You're uninformed.

Word in practice is that Mitchell might be our best player.

Oh I'm sorry. How often do practice rumors translate to the court? especially with our team? Have you personally played lots of games with Mitchell? I doubt you have. If a slow white guy like me can body him, I can't imagine what others can do. He has to improve a lot but don't count on it. Marquise Reed is a proven scorer when he was at Robert Morris.

Trying to be polite, you are absolutely incorrect. A few more facts may help (not that fact mean anything apparently). See a more detailed confirmatory analysis that followed this post:

There are strategies that can win. You choose not to accept them.
