Pretty sure he was going to stay for the spring otherwise. Had he not enrolled early, he wouldn’t have been ready to contribute like he did this season. Silver lining.

Just a twist on a lot of the negative commentary. Bowman had a ton of talent and it would’ve been great to see him flourish as a tiger. But clearly that wasn’t in the cards.

I’d say it’s more of a knock on the portal than Bowman

Nothing against him, maybe he just wanted to be closer to home. The portal makes it so easy now that I feel there will be a lot of guys rethinking their decisions. I think it speaks to the bigger issue of the “me first” instant gratification mentality nowadays.

Agree - at the end of the day, especially early-on in their careers, these are kids / young adults at best. Who knows who is in their ears, or what kind of support system they have around them giving advice. I hate it for the kids because they’re the ones that’ll pay the consequences or not reach their full potentials. The portal can be a good thing in certain circumstances; however, it is not good for folks that would fail the marshmallow test...

One of them has a bright future ahead on a potentially national championship winning team, while the other is a benchwarmer for a 6-7 team that is only getting worse. I'll let you guess which is which.
