Tiger nation... Who is the better linebacker? I first thought Boulware. Now I’m not so sure. What say ye?

Skalski,
I'll always love Boulware's energy. However, the dude had over commit issues. Skalski will play in the NFL if healthy.

Apples and oranges. Boulware was 100% heart. His effort made plays when his skills may have lacked. Skalski has the size and skills that “protégé” linebackers need. He was developed by Coach V and can play assignment football.
That being said I think skalski is the better technical linebacker/player
But I would take boulware because of his leadership and sideline presence. He had that IT factor when it came to keeping his teammates up and motivated. I credit him BIG time for the 2016 natty.

I've been wondering if Skalski is fast enough to play in the NFL. Ben was a great college player and provided some great leadership.
I'm hoping to watch him play for our Tigers soon.

Boulware was slow in coverage. Could not keep up with tight ends like 88 from Bama.
Ben had great heart and motor!!!
Not sure Skalski has the speed as well. Time will tell.

Ben has the better resume (so Far) but I think Skalski is the KEY to this defense. We have missed him tremendously. Hope he gets back soon - definitely by ND game.

Skalski is a little faster than Ben . both tough hard nosed good players .Not bad mouthing either of them but Skalski is a little better because of his speed. Ben wasn’t good when he had to cover someone

Boulware was smaller, seemingly slower and healthier. And a great Tonto to CW42. Skalski was a great Tonto to IS11. Does Skalski have the speed to play at the next level? That will be the key.

Not really debatable

Skalski is better in every conceivable way. The only edge I would give Ben is nastiness, which caused him to cross the line on countless occasions (if you were watching closely). The game has changed and he wouldn't get away with that stuff the way things are officiated in 2020.
After the whistle "activities" are no longer tolerated.

The thing that Ben did very well is study. He often knew what play the opponent was running and called it on the field. I think Skalski has been skill/ability though.

Love it dude. Gotta give Ben the appropriate props. Dude was a very instinctual football player.

Ben seemed to know what play the other team was going to run before they did. For that reason, I'll go with him.

The fact that we are having this discussion means that both Ginger and Maryann were fine.... and that is a good thing for us!
