Bottom Line: The Buck Stops with the Head Ball Coach -

Not the Players. Suppose Dabo persisted in starting and playing Generic Swinney Son (GSS) every game and GSS was awful every game. I wouldn't fault GSS for not being up to the standard; he just does not have the talent. Every kid wants to play and will play as long as the coach is putting him in. Dabo decided to treat DJ as Generic Swinney Son on Steroids (GSSOS). GSSOS was awful (not from lack of talent, but from emotional-confidence issues) and a certain amount of criticism was warranted, but as some point it needs to stop and be re-directed at the Head Ball Coach for playing favorites. Dabo's "no regrets" is denial-ego-hubris-stubbornness and is extremely annoying. However, as long as Dabo privately realizes his mistake and takes action to not repeat it, I can live with the gaslighting as long as we stay in the hunt for the national championship.

they know they screwed up. They just aren't going to admit it publicly. It doesn't help anyone to come out and say it.

I think Dabo knows that his job beyond just being coaching football players and when he is ready he will let us know...after all he is a great communicator and knows how much we want to know...another natty or two and we`ll forget all about it!

I don't deserve any explanation from Dabo or any coach about anything. I'm just using a football message board for its intended purpose: For Clemson football fans to post their observations and opinions about football.

You are free to have an opinion though I disagree. Given recent years this was a down year 11-2 and an ACC Championship. We never won the ACC when I was in school in fact I drove to Md 54 years after graduation to watch us win one and snap an 11 year championship drought. There are many years where the 22 results would have been much ballyhooed and cause for great celebration.
Not sure why you are hating on a solid kid who has been very dependable in every role he has been given.

You know you guys make me sick. I have been following and supporting Clemson and IPTAY since 1974. We are in the good old days right now. We have one of the top three coaches in college football. Check our won-lost record over the last ten years. Maybe Alabama can stack up with our record. Check and see how many teams have won at least ten games a year for eleven years. Check and see how many teams have won 15 games in one season. I remember when you all wanted Coach Batson fired. Then a couple of years later in 2018 we ran Alabama ragged. I just wonder if your performance matches the standard you are holding Coach Swinney to. You guys must be giving a lot of money to Clemson to think you have a right to even comment.

also lack of talent. Explain what you mean by this. Big body and arm strength, that's it? I didn't really see arm strength either.
