Bob Waldrop; A Ride To Remember

Hi. I'm Dottie Waldrop -Bob Waldrop's widow.
Bob worked for 21 years as a photographer in the athletic department.
Bob died of Alzheimer's disease 4/26/2020. Last year I rode in the bike ride A Ride To Remember to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. This year, I'm riding in A Ride To Remember again. Please visit aridetoremember.org and donate for Dottie Waldrop. The Alzheimer's Association is working toward a cure for Alzheimer's Disease.

up and match me. It's a pretty good bet that everyone has either been touched by the scourge of Alzheimers in their own family, or that of a close friend. Even though they may technically be different, I put Dementia in this same category. I have a good friend who is going through a terrible case of this with his mother right now. I don't donate to many "causes", but this one is truly worthwhile.

Lost my Mom 05/28/2020 to Dementia. It's a long cruel disease. Hopeful for some medication that would cure or keep it at bay.

Thank you for riding to remember Bob and raising funds and awareness for Alzheimers. This will be my sixth year taking the challenge for this ride. Although riders can ride "virtual" by riding 252 miles in July as the challenge, others will take three days in July and ride from Simpsonville to Charleston as a commitment to our families and care takers to find a cure. It's a blast surrounded by good people doing good things!

Good luck Dottie with your fund raising and hope to see you in July!
