Bored at work on my lunch break and was curious to know other T-Netters PB fish. My most notable catches are: 1.) 8lb Largemouth Bass (2022) 2.) 10lb Channel Cat (2022) 3.) 8lb Bluefish (2021) 4.) 35 inch red (2016) 5.) 35lb Blue Cat (2015)
Looking to set some new pbs for Striper, Flathead, and blue cats this year.
Let me know what yall got!

My 2 PB largemouth weighed 8.00 lbs and 8.25 lbs, caught within an hour of each other in a pond on a golf course.
I also once caught a catfish while bass fishing with a Carolina rig. Leader wrapped once around dorsal spine of catfish and I somehow managed to get it in the boat....sounds fishy but very true.

Most notable catch

Back in the late fifties dad's dean invited the family down to Edisto for a week. Dad never was a big fisherman, but the dean loved to fish off the pier at Edisto. So, dad, the dean and I went fishing using the dean's nice reels.
As an 8-year-old, and not being much of a fisherman, I made the ultimate mistake of putting the rod and reel up on the rail of the pier with a shrimp on the hook . . . in the water. Needless to say, that was my first catch of the day as I watch the rod and real drop from the pier into the water at high tide.
I could see the panic in dad's eye, when he looked at me. He immediately took his rod and reel, put on a dozen hooks and tossed it along the side of the pier dragging the line and reeling it up.
Best catch of the day! First cast, he hooked the last eyelet on the rod and saved embarrassment with the dean.

There are a lot more fish types than that, especially in saltwater.

Man it sounds like I need to get up with you to do some fishing LOL! Thats a pretty nice list of personal records and there are a couple bucket list fish on there for me. I caught my first few small mouth last year in Green Mountain NC and boy do those things fight. My biggest was around the 2.5lb mark and I though he was going to break my trout rod the way he was pulling.

When you see my list, you quickly realize why I gave up

fishin' years ago.
1) ~4 lb Bigmout' bass.
2) ~10 lb alligator garr.
The garr was caught bank fishing just on the "legal" side of the cable in the tailrace canal, during the 5 years I lived in the Charleston area, many years ago.
I can more than vouch for the fact that you can indeed catch boots or other types of human footwear while fishing. One night while the water was running pretty good on the tailrace, I caught THREE old boots, almost one right after the other. All three of them were left feet, no idea why.
Yes, that is a true story. Would someone actually make up something that pathetic?

The only gar I have ever caught to this day, was caught by hand in Lake Murray. At 10 years old I did not realize that their teeth overlap their jaws...still have the scars on my hand to this day where he ripped me a new one when I grabbed him by the snout.
Also didn't help that my grandma put meat tenderizer on it (with cayenne pepper as a major ingredient) on it right after. I have never had something burn so bad to this day.
Live and ya learn lol.
