Horrible overtime system

Remember that this year college football goes to the awful new overtime system. Have to go for 2 in 2nd overtime and then if teams go to a third overtime it’s just alternating 2 point conversions.

Basically like penalty kicks.

prevents prolonged OT's, basically, puts things to sudden death if things aren't decided reasonably in 1 OT.

So OCs are basically going to devote a whole section of the playbook to plays that are guaranteed to get you 2 yards.

And if you have the misfortune of using them early in the season, you have to create some more.

Or you can just have DJ throw it up to Ross every single time.

We are in this day and age where OT rules are still lame.

OT literally could be a lot more exciting than just place the ball on the 25 then if the teams still tie...2 pt conversions to the death.

Heck, I say spot the ball at the 50 and if both teams score 2 or 3x, break out the kickers at 45 yards.

Pat McAfee had some cool rules in a podcast episode to make it interesting. Crazy to think OT hasn't been improved at this day and age.
