Best case scenario on second thought....

I was pondering what took place this season and the fact that we played in the Peach as opposed to the Orange. Don't get me wrong, I will take a BCS bowl over a non any day. However, our matchup and victory over a tough LSU squad certainly didn't leave us guessing. Had we played, and beat NIU, we would have heard, you did what you were supposed to do. Ultimately, this win will go much further than FSUs win. The Coots, other than the ones that will say LSU was the sixth place team, or LSU didn't show up because they had nothing to play for etc.... know the truth. Our Tiger bunch is young, improving and appears to be on the way up. I like the direction we are going and am pleased that we were able to play against the big boys and show, on that night, that we belong!

I was thinking the same thing, about bowl matchups...

I know that the payouts, prestige and viewership of the BCS bowls are great and that's why everyone wants to go. But our match up in the lowly Chik had to be one of the very best this year. We will get mileage out of it.

The only other game I would have preferred would have been Fla in the Sugar.... BCS, but not against NIU.

I agree would have been nice to have a shot at the Gators in NOLA! That's the only other game I would have liked to have seen. Well, other than ND in the MNC ;)
