I'd put three more teams on there..Tree Rollins senior team that wasn't eligible for the tourney, Horace Grant senior team finished 2nd in ACC and was upset in 1st round because PG Grayson Marshall was hurt and not 100 percent. The Oliver Purnell Coached team that made it to ACCT Championship.

There isn't much debate that these are the top 5 IMO.

1986 ... Horace Grant’s senior year was the best team

I know they lost in the first round of the NCAAs, but Horace was hurt and the team was crippled by his injury.
When the 1986 team was healthy, they were really, really good. The best ever at Clemson.

It was starting PG Grayson Marshall who was hurt on that team.

Wait, you did not include the 76-77 team. That might have been Foster's best coaching result all things considered. And yes, that includses his elite 8 year
22-6, top 20 finish but held prior to NCAA expansion so, no bid.

I thought Locke's probation ended earlier but that might be true. I know that Wake was the #2 ACC team that year and we were seated one spot below. Finishing 3rd in conference was not a invite - as they pulled the AQ as well as a far amount of independents too.

. This was the first year the tournament expanded to 32 teams but we didn't make it.
Skip Wise, Stan Rome, Tree Rollins, Colon Abraham, Wayne Croft, Van Gregg...
Great list by you though.

up as freshmen was when Clemson basketball suddenly became a hot ticket. Man, they were fun to watch take on the "big boys" when they came into Littlejohn. Back when fans were fans, and "woke" meant you probably had a dreaded 8 o'clock class.

1988-89 team was 19-11, not sure where you got 25-10 from, so remove them, and I'd add the same 3 that nctigs suggested. 1976-77 1986-87 2007-08

The brownell team was nowhere near as talented as those other teams, so maybe that makes the sweet 16 more impressive or maybe it was a fluke.
