Love Thanksgiving. First one though without my wife and kids around. Already starting to realize it’s going to be harder than I thought...
Any advice?

Invite yourself to a friend's house for Thanksgiving dinner. If they are true friends, they will be honored.

Talk to God.
Get out of the house: go for a walk, preferably somewhere beautiful.
Keep music playing when you're home.
Call friends and family and tell them how thankful you are for them!
Watch a Clemson game on you tube --I suggest last year's Clemson/Carolina game!
I will pray for comfort for you??

If you have no family near, volunteer at a local shelter, church or community agency reaching out to those that are less fortunate.
You’ll be amazed at how good that can make you feel by helping others who truly sppreciate you and what you’re doing.

Want to come to Summerville? Just a 2.5 hour drive from Greenville.
I spent a Thanksgiving break by myself while a student at Clemson. Won't go into details about why, but it was all my fault, and not my choosing. Even then, though, I managed to join a friend's family for Thanksgiving in Anderson. No one should be totally alone on Thanksgiving. Make something happen!
