Deptula's Alabama Love-Fest
Jan 6, 2016, 11:25 AM
|
|
I listened to Walt Deptula praise Alabama for at least a half an hour yesterday on my way home from work. I find it humorous that he has done nothing but call Alabama “frauds” all season and how Saban was going to get exposed in the playoffs this year. Yesterday was an Alabama love-fest just like the week before the Orange Bowl was an Oklahoma love-fest. I tune in to 105.5 because it is supposedly the “Flagship Station of Clemson Sports”. I am tired of turning on what is supposed to be a Clemson Sports Talk radio station only to hear some idiot praise upcoming Clemson opponents and even make picks against us. The rest of the hosts on this station (Plyler, Philpot, Qualkinbush, Milstead) are die hard Clemson Fans and support our Tigers. Not this clown, he pulls against us and it’s getting old listening to it on our own Clemson Station!

it was Oklahoma's turn on his list of losses for Clemson last week, and how I see him building up for Alabama to be the next predicted loss, that is ANOTHER failure for him. No mention on his show. Crickets..
Put something on his twitter to the same effect calling him out, and get dropped.
Called in and get hung up on. He's a big pu$$y.
Go Tigers!

yeah I have been hung up on myself. What's even worse is listening to his co-host ramble on about everything but Clemson Sports.

Agreed - he can sure dish it out but can't take it. I've posted stuff calling him out on his Twitter account too only to have him block me. He's nothing but a big wuss and always claiming he's the best thing on the radio. I'm not huge on the Sturg show on 105.9 but I'll take it over that d-bag.

It's ridiculous

ALL season he laughed at people who brought up Alabama's 5 turnovers vs Ole Miss and called Bama a huge fraud. Now he is saying the exact opposite thing. He even used Alabama fumbling 2 kicks to excuse the loss to Ole Miss, which is exactly what he was making fun of for months.

All of a sudden getting a passing game against

MSU which had the 77th ranked passing defense really isn't impressive. If they're able to do it against Clemson, then I'd be impressed.

I've been blocked from his Twitter account too. He was on a rant about Ray Rice and violence against women. I found it funny that he was broadcasting from Twin Peaks, a place that objectifies women. I just tweeted, "This rant against violence toward women brought to you by Twin Peaks." I thought it was clever, but apparently Walt did not. If we all quit listening, he will go away.

He doesn't go to Twin peaks anymore. So it has gone from the best place on earth to not ever mentioned. Funny what sponsorship money will do

He picked GT to win win the ACC just like he always does. He even got his @$$ handed to him in picks by the guy at the Anderson Independent. He doesn't have a team he pulls for of course, which tells me he doesn't have an alma mater to be proud of. If he did then maybe he would understand that Alumni like myself take pride in being a Clemson Tiger and it ticks us off when we hear someone on our local radio station picking against us in one of the biggest games in Clemson History. Screw him, he sucks and so does his annoying co-host/producer.

You must not listen... not sure what you are spewing.
He specifically said that Bama MSU game meant nothing AFTER the game. Not sure why all of a sudden he's taking back his prediction that the winner of the OB would win it all. It's bc his sooners didn't win.

Notice how after every big win this season he goes on to say what the other team didn't do and not what we did right. Especially after ND it sounded like he was going to cry.

So if you recorded every show at the start of the season ,. and documented his claims and edited and waited at the end of the season you could put together pure comedy gold and make all your money back for your time .,
He needs to be confronted by someone with backup recordings ., I would buy one .,

Yes he did...he said Miami had a lot of NFL talent and would be a true test for Clemson. Go back and listen to him weeks before that and he does nothing but bash Miami and Al Golden

perhaps because it keeps you guys talking about him, and there's no such thing as bad publicity?
I mean, clearly it certainly isn't keeping you from listening to him.
