Bball coaching candidate?

I think we should consider Steve Lutz from Texas A&M Corpus-Christi if Brownlee gets the boot. In his first season, he managed to turn a TAMUCC team that went 5-19 the previous season to a Conference Championship winner with a 23-12 record and a First Four bid.

Sounds like we have Brad for one more year. That gives us another year to keep an eye on up-and-comers like Coach Lutz

Lol still dreaming BB gets the boot??? You really must be challenged to think he is going anywhere this year. Oh yea he under preformed with all those NBA players he had in 2015 ????????. That’s how I know you are a complete idiot. If any team under preformed it was 2019. Hate to tell you Clemson doesn’t fire basketball coaches for making post season 4 out of last 6 years.

what would you consider a successful 5 years to look like for Clemson basketball? Y’all sound just as delusional as Ray Tanner saying they expect to hire a coach to compete for national titles ??????

So in the history of Clemson basketball the standard you expect has never been met regardless of the coach so somehow a new coach will magically make it happen? BTW you sound like a coot football fan when they had just hired Muschamp. He had no history of winning but somehow he would be able to pull off the magic trick in cootlumbia.

You must have never followed Barnes, Purnell, and Ellis. All had 3 NCAATs in 4 years. Barnes and OP had 3 straight.
Ask yourself a question, if the Clemson Basketball program is as bad as you say it is, why did Brownell take the job???

I’m not sure I would boast the postseason trips without mentioning when he went to a tournament that actually matters. If mentioning trips to a Tourny (nit) that is the equivalent of the Humanitarian Bowl or Birmingham Bowl in football is supposed to strengthen your argument, then you have a weak argument.
I think 99% understands he’s staying, I believe the issue with most is it reaffirms the notion that not only does a portion of the fan base believe we can’t be good in basketball, but that the folks who matter (athletic department) are firmly in that camp also.
I’m not losing sleep either way, however to me it sends a message into the way other major sports will be treated at Clemson (baseball). I’ll finish with, no one will be pulling harder for a outstanding football season more so than Brad Brownell

Its a safe bet anyone posting the name of a coaching candidate for a position which is not open and wont be open for at least 12 months is a coot.

to Clemson tossing him a lucrative lifeline. We need to take the first step first, which is to FIRE BRAD BROWN-L!
I know I am only gnashing my teeth in vain, but, I keep hoping if it gets said often enough, we will dream it into existence.

Maybe the Clemson brain-trust decided against dumping Brownell because South Carolina moved first to fire Frank Martin.
After all, whenever S.Carolina takes the lead in something, a good practice for all other programs is to do the opposite.
