Bates to Norman... Did he give Dabo the shower treatment?

I certainly don't know... Everybody is talking about how good of a recruiter Bates was for Clemson. Maybe, but again, I don't know.

One thing I do know... Clemson put a lot of DTs in the NFL, many still starting, before Bates ever got here. Maybe he was a good recruiter because he was the DT Coach at Clemson...

We WILL survive.

A lot of people from the staff are still riding that wave that this particular DL created…it also exposed a lot of people’s inabilities.

Who’s to blame for the slow or lack development for Pinkney, Huggins, Henry, or XT? Bates certainly has a hand in that.

Ha ha (I think) ... blaming Bates (or anyone) for "slow or lack of development" for Pinkney, Huggins, K.J., or XT? I guess that's a joke.

As if Pinkney and Huggins were deemed as 'slow developing' for playing behind Wilkins / D.Lawrence / Tyler Davis.

As if K.J. (being smallish for DE and not quite Vic Beasley fast) is a flop for being behind Justin Foster / Justin Mascoll / XT on the depth chart.

For XT, we know that he had some problems; the coaching staff worked with XT to get him past his problems and ... go figure ... XT had a fine year in 2021.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Marion Hobby recruit and coach a lot of the defensive linemen talent we sent to the NFL several years ago?
