No to the playing time. Yes he practiced. Actually to hear brownell talk about it. It sounds like he was pretty useful for trying to demonstrate what other teams can do. Sounded like a great help in practice and game prep

Yes, “the plan” was for him to spend a year at Clemson with no intention of ever playing at Clemson. It was always “the plan” that this recruit who you bragged about as evidence of the evolution of Brownell’s prowess as a recruiter would never actually play here. GFY.

It makes no sense that Brownell played a team down 2 scholarships all year without the payoff of a player the next season. Since Gibson was a bad fit, was it the hubris of Brownell knowing that Neff won’t hold him accountable to produce results or coaching malpractice to use 11/13 scholarships?

If a coach can’t sell his product, that is an even bigger problem. OP was selling out 10,000 seats. Looks like we had only 4 sell outs at 9,000 seats this year.
Is carrying 11 players for a season not coaching malpractice though?

You've identified the symptoms but we don't attack the root cause. As long as we have the same coach neither recruits nor fans are going to show much interest. We just keep kicking the can down the road.

I have a lot of opinions about all Clemson sports especially for you rookies that need it the most. I have over 50 years experience so I concentrate on the guys who actually play and those who coach them. Drink some coffee it will help you with your "baffling" fog.

Yes right before baseball started. I usually just discuss baseball because not many people know the game at all. However if I have an opinion on something involving basketball or football I’ll share. Like I said before, losing Gibson is a non issue, I am not a Brad guy. I want a new coach too
