Basketball signee Chauncey Wiggins had a good game...

in a National event in Houston, TX Saturday. The 6-10 stretch forward had 15 pts and 10 rebs including 3 long 3s. This 3 man class they signed is very underrated and full of skill.

It's been a long time, but the best basketball teams we ever had were under coaches Tate's Lock and Bill Foster. Skip Wise is the best freshman guard I have ever seen to play the game. Even though Lock almost got us the death sentence, we began to have great teams to be reckoned with nationally. Foster was great, with integrity, and recruited some great players, who were also great in the pros. Let's start back givin emphasis to our bb team. Let our goal,not only be to reach the NCAA tournament, but to WIN it. It might have to take more than a 3 star coach to do this...but let's do it.

I’d take Cliff Ellis over Bill Foster any day. Foster got lucky with Larry Nance. Was 6’7” when signed and not drawing heavy interest. Grew to 6’10”. The Grant brothers were not heavily recruited. Most of his recruiting efforts were weak. His best teams were with Tates Locke’s players.

Ellis recruited Dale Davis and Elden Campbell over other programs that wanted them.
