This is about basketball in general, not just the NBA, and since we are talking a lot of Clemson basketball lately, I am posting on this bored. Another post below got me thinking about it. To those of you who are hyper vigilant about that sort of thing, no apologies from me if you choose to become inflamed over it.
Below is a clip of the 1969 NBA finals, which illustrates how the game has changed over the years, including college basketball. Personally, I think the game then was much more beautiful, entertaining, interesting, and easier to watch then. Aside from the short shorts and abundance of Caucasians, what other differences do you see, and was the game better then or now?

Coming from a old school view. I liked the Then , drives me crazy to watch all the 3 and 4 steps . I guess you have to take 5 before traveling is called these days.

The NBA has become player-focused...

rather than team focused and once that trend started, the NBA began spiraling downward like a weak flushing toilet.

I am a Lebron fan but watch a GS game and tell me that it is a joke. They play a beautiful style of basketball. The NBA has become more about one on one matchups but it is still dang good in the playoffs.

Grew up a Celtics fan---great seeing all those faces again when they were that young.....Russell vs Chamberlain.....2 of the greatest of all time (and Jabbar was in Milwaukee about this time)
