Basketball - What do we want to see in the next ten years?

Was reading through JK’s BBall posts and appreciated the perspective but it caused me to question what everyone wants to see, long term, in the Win/Loss column???
To preface my thoughts, I recognize that the ultimate goal is to win every game and play for a Natty (I’m still amazed and love that our football team is in that rare air)… but realistically I would be content ten years from now if our BBall team made the tournament three out of every four years… how does everyone else feel about this?

I’m a relatively new poster but I’m pretty sure I posted to the basketball board…
Appreciate the thoughtful feedback though

To put it bluntly, it is more about what I hope NOT to see.

And that is Brad Brownell on our sidelines. To me, he has always been a mediocre recruiter, and personality wise is a Milquetoast. His teams have to constantly overcome the lack of talent and the lack of coaching fire, and that is not anywhere close to a championship combination. Just one man's opinion, but it are mine own.

I think 3 out of 5 years of making he NCAAT including in that stretch finish in the top 4 of the ACC and/or advance to the ACCT Semis once, finish in the sweet sixteen at least once, and another season advancing at least to the round of 32.
In a 10 year period Clemson needs to at least get to the ACCT game once, and Elite 8 once and get the chance to advance to the Final Four.
I don't think that is asking too much.
Clemson needs a coach that gets the best out his players, knows how to evaluate and improve recruits, and gets his fanbase and students excited about Clemson Basketball. Coach Brownell has the best job he can, but one day the conclusion will be that Coach Brownell needs to retire as the winningest Coach in Clemson Basketball history and let someone else get the opportunity.

There you have it folks.... over the last 5 years, we are very close to meeting nc tigs expectations.
NCAA tournament appearances: nc tigs expects 3 and we have gone to 2 tourneys in the last 5 years
ACC Performance: NC Tigs wants us to finish in the top 4 of the ACC once, or make it to the semis in the tourney. In the last 5 years, we have finished 3rd once and 5th once.
NCAA Performance: NC Tigs expects a sweet 16 appearance. We made the sweet 16 5 years ago. NC Tigs also wants a round of 32 appearance. We lost in the first round of the tourney in our only other appearance.
So we have exceeded your expectations in all areas except for 1 NCAA appearance, and 1 round of 32 appearance. Hopefully we do that this year, so you can be happy.

He outlined 6 metrics
NCAA 3 of 5 years At least 2 round of 32s in 5 years At least 1 Sweet 16 in 5 years ACC Final and or Season Top 4 in 5 years ACC Title game once per 10 years Elite 8 once per 10 years.
If we look purely at the last 5 years Brad Brownell is batting .500 on these very clearly laid out expectations. Not sure how that exceeds his expectations but you clearly have an agenda.
But, on a rolling basis Brownell has had the opportunity to meet the five year objectives 8 times. There were 4 objectives per 5 years. He has never been to the tourney 3 of 5 years. 0/8. He has never twice advanced to the round of 32 - 0/8. He went to the sweet 16 with in five years 5/8, and season top 4 5/8. That makes him 10/32 on the 5 year objectives. He is 0/12 on 10 year objectives.
So Brownell is 10/50 or 20% at meeting the objectives that Nctigs clearly laid out. Why would try to deliberately distort the results?
Even in your own interpretation how did he possibly “exceed expectations” by exactly meeting them in the sweet 16 appearances and ACC regular season finishes?

My post was about the 5 year goals.
You keep mentioning how clearly he laid out the goals, but still seem to be confused.
Where did he say 2 round of 32's in 5 years?
