How will Alabama get "dethroned" ? Just face it they are the kings of college football now and have been this past decade. Personally I'm tired of them, but in the same way, very glad that UGA didn't win either, that would add to another team on our proverbial "tail" that would be catching up to us. I know that we are elite, but we aren't the best. I thought about three weeks ago we were gonna be the next dynasty but we arent now. I don't know what it's gonna take but hopefully Clemson of course or someone "else" and take down the Goliath knows as Alabama. End of rant.

a win (mainly due to the O, ST and coaches too) but the D played pretty much lights out considering no real help from the other units!
Now, it's as you said..it's Bammer at the very top and then us, Dawgs, Buckies, Nittanies & ?
Remember, It took DW4 & Team 59 min & 59 seconds to beat Elephants for 2016 Crown and that was with heroics galore!
Saying, get in line to rival Tide & Saban in the near future and be ready for a rumble that will jar your bones & teeth!

They are on top and the best, but CLEM is 1b
In the last 3 years:
Record: BAMA 41-3, CLEM 40-4
Conference titles: BAMA 2, CLEM 3
CFP #1 Rank: BAMA 1, CLEM 2
The difference is one natty (which is huge). I'd also like to point out that if Saban didn't have giant stones (onside kick in 2016, Tua in 2018), Bama would have lost 3 title games in a row. I hate them, but the coach has big ones

No!!!!! Putting them 1a and calling us 1b is saying that we are equal to Bama and we are not quite there yet. Had we beaten them the other night and then won the NC, we most certainly could have said 1a and 1b for the last few years but that didn’t happen. Nor is it quite accurate to limit the discussion to only the last three years, they have won 5 NC in 9 years. That is simply unheard of, they can lose next year and STILL have won a NC on average every other year for a decade.
I firmly believe we are closing fast but until we can win a couple more NC and sustain the last three years for 5,6,7 more years, Bama is a dynasty the likes of which has never been seen before and simply may never be seen again. They are sitting all alone at #1 and for the last 3 years we have been #2.

Correct.
Clemson made 3 Playoffs in a row, played for the NC 2x in a row, and beat 'Bama once.
No offense to teams not named Alabama, but it's really 'Bama, Clemson, and everybody else.

We're 1-2 against Bama and all three of those games were played in the CFP. According to my records Bama was better than us the first time we met them in the past three years, we were better than they were in the second meeting and they are better than us this year.
Who else is batting .333 against Bama on a neutral field in the past three years? Who else have they played in the CFP three times in the past three years? Who else has made the last three CFP besides Clemson and Bama?
Are you starting to see a pattern here?

For me, Clemson already is the best football program.

For what the coaches, the players and the team have done on and off the field and the sustainability of the program, I don’t see any other programs as the same level as us.
I still recall how Herbstreit praised the “healthy culture” of our program during the playoffs. We may not be as successful in terms of national title as Alabama, but we don’t see our player trying to punch our coach on national TV.
Dabo has no problem suspending any players any games. Sammy Watkins, Deon Cain to name a few. And he turned them into a man.
Our assistants love our program and don’t want to leave, even though they got calls.
I don’t know if I could ask for more.

2 things need to happen for them to be dethroned:
1st and most important, Tua needs to turn out to be just an average QB. No one is going to beat that roster if they have an Elite QB.
2nd, we need to get our passing game back by having the QB make better reads pre-snap. The Dallas Cowboys can't hold off 7 rushers if you have a QB that can't make reads.
