We were struggling up until this recent 4 game stretch when Leggett finally got the guts to pull Krieger from the field and change the lineup. We are 4-0 with Krieger DHing and Baum at SS. Baum has looked great at SS and that just makes the defense (which has been our achilles heel) that much better. Moyer has been a force out of the pen, Gossett and Crownover are pitching as good as they ever have, and Erwin is finally starting to come along. We have 2 midweek games left with High Point and Furman and then 2 ACC series left with the worst 2 teams in the conference. We could very easily win out and if we do I think what would be a 12 game winning streak would be huge leading into the tourney. Now I know there are a lot of "what ifs" but we can definitely accomplish this.

please at least do a little research before bustracking jack. kreiger has a bad shoulder. that is why he is not in the field. boulware aint exactly willie mays in left field but that is what you do when you have injuries. the best thing he has done is the late inning defensive replacements.

How many errors does Kreiger have thus far in this season?
How many opponents this year have cleaned our clock with rallies started by or sustained with our errors afield?
Our defense has been porous and hitting anemic!

way to many errors. that was not my point. he was replaced because he is hurt. and uh, we lead the acc in hitting. once again, google is a wonderful thing. our problem has been timely hitting. we get 12 hits and 2 runs. unacceptable. last night we get 5 hits and 5 runs. is that anemic hitting or timely hitting.

all of our players are from the NE, our players are too small, our hitting is bad, etc. etc. Some people have no clue, but continue to post their ignorant bs. Our problem has been defense and the bullpen. Maybe these guys should actually go to games, shut up and try to learn some baseball.

Jack's unwillingness to make changes is one of the reasons our record is what it is. Another reason is b/c Jack refuses to perchance the team a bat warmer for all of our cold weather games played in early spring. There is a reason we hear that our guys don't play well until the weather heats up. That's b/c most teams we play heat their bats, and we still have the cold thud bats.

YEP, PLAYING BY THE rules is not the way to go. also, we dont go up to the plate looking to get hit by pitch either. really, what does that teach kids. i sometimes wish we would turn into a ball and get hit but we are not coached to do it. we are way back in hbp.

Oh Yes...we will win out for sure...Jack is a hall of fame coach...we're lucky to have him...He's already won an ACC title in only 19 years...that's pretty darn impressive in anybody's book..He has this team peaking for post season play...no doubt about it..
