As bad as so many want Monte to be fired. The truth is that he won't be fired this season. The best we can hope for is a change at Pitching Coach and bring in a hitting coach. With a Top 5 Recruiting Class coming in and tons of talent returning Monte will be back.

We had a class of 9 last year, 21 the year before that and 18 the year before that.


I know it's early (sort of) but in looking at 2023, we're ranked 39th. for 2024, we're ranked 46th with 4 commits. Yikes.


Is it possible they are not getting on kids early, and scrambling to get kids in the 3-9 months before signing?

That was the pre draft rankings. After draft rankings have been 20's and 30's in monte's tenure. He hasn't competed within the ACC.

As we know from year's past, baseball recruiting is not a done deal until after the MLB Draft. I hope we don't lose too many current players and recruits.
