I’m legitimately asking an honest question.
When I was at school 99-02 we always seemed to play tough, we had quality across the board in terms of personnel. Just saying.

As a non-expert on baseball, just a fan since the days of Rusty Gerhardt, it seems we used to have tough nosed players who played as a team. We now seem to have an assembly of overrated prima donnas.

Baseball much like football at Clemson is something you don’t mess with. I’m hoping for the best. Seriously man baseball is my first love. I liked Leggett a lot but I guess he rubbed some the wrong way.

Jack was fine most of the time. But the insane way he lost to the coots in Omaha, TWICE, destroyed his psyche. He was too tight in big games and it made the players tight and he could never get over it.
“Hall of Fame” notwithstanding, he knew he had his chance, TWICE, on the biggest stage, and failed spectacularly.

At least we can rule out the facilities. I have lost count of how many upgrades there have been to the baseball stadium. I watched the Tigers back in he 60's when the stadium was between the tennis courts and the band practice field. Watched John Curtis pitch - first round pick and 15 years in the majors I believe. Just a few sets of wooden bleachers for seating. Maybe its like everything else. Kids play video games now and maybe a little soccer with the exception of a few states. The talent pool is watered down. 11% of all Major League players are from the Dominican. The population of the entire country is only 10 million. No money for video games there.
