I must say I tried to watch. BLM on the mound, kneeling, cardboard cutout fans, something racial being forced down your throat all the time and the baseball is just unwatchable.

It was awesome. It still works without the fans and is enjoyable. It's a little better with fans, but still really good . The Dodgers game was great. Dodgers won easily 8 - 1 yet still left 18 runners on base. Anyway, glad it is back. The more sports the better. I will watch most of them...College football, PGA, NBA, mens college hoops, MLB, and NFL. Bring them all on this year.

attendance and ratings have been declining for years this racial stuff will give it that final shove to around current nascar ratings.

I find it a bit ironic,and sad that while I love college baseball,I haven't cared a rat's you know what about pro baseball since the strike of '94( or was it'96),and we went to at least one Braves series from '66 to '90.We(my family) even had 3rd row seats for the weekend opener that year.
Yet I tried watching the opener last night,and lasted 1 half an inning before turning to the Golf Channel to watch a repeat of what I watched earlier in the day.

Yep, when the "pandemic" is over and they open baseball back up for fans they may have to keep those cutouts in the stands.

I'm with you on that. Even WWII didn't cancel a World Series but greed did.
However, there is something special about the sounds of the game, and summer, and this crazy period we're suffering through of nothing.
