BAMA is the logical choice for Manning in 2023......

Jan 24, 2022, 4:34 PM

and that's why we are trending up for the 4star Pro QB out of Birmingham, Christopher Vizzinia. We may have tapped out on the Arch sweepstakes and looking to lock in this kid as early as possible which makes perfect sense to me.

Think about it -Bryce Young goes pro after this coming season, Manning steps right in as the starter and on a team with pro QBs and Heisman trophy winners year after year. We will have Cade as a soph in 2023, with 2 more years eligibility. Bama is the logical choice here, big upside and no competition.

What I like is that we apparently aren't waiting around to see if we are going to be the bride. Granted, we have gotten lucky with Trenton and Cade in similar situations, but luck runs out sometimes. We are evolving!

I totally disagree. I would think both Peyton and Eli would steer him away from Alabama, and even Georgia.
Ole Miss would be my guess followed by LSU, and at # 3 Clemson. Tennessee will be in the mix once the program gets restarted, but I think Alabama is the last place he shows up at.

If his family only cares about winning and not how this young man turns out…….

1BADTIGER your logic re: Alabama as likely destination for Arch Manning due to high quality supporting cast + high likelihood of early playing time looks ... uh ... logical.

It would not make sense for A.Manning to kill himself competing against an incumbent star QB who is only one class ahead of him. Arch Manning wants to PLAY ... not sit ... early in his career (probably not a necessary requirement for him to start in his FR year, but probably is a requirement for him to be in position to start early in his SOPH year). It's implausible for A.Manning to want to prove he can beat out any QB at any college, regardless of that incumbent QB's skills and accomplishments. I suspect that he's too smart and too well advised to take that egomaniac approach. Instead, he and his family will find a college team with a superb supporting case where he can play and be made to look really really good.

Can't believe that the wealthy and wise Manning family would get mis-directed by short-term 'wealth' distractions such as NILs. They recognize that the REAL money comes with television stardom, which will be further amplified by the 'Manning brand.'

We can all have fun predicting which places where Arch Manning will go, but we shouldn't get worked up if he goes somewhere other than Clemson.

If he’s as good as he’s supposed to be, and if Kiffin hangs around, he would have a fantastic career at Ole Miss. They might, just might knock off Bama before the Texas NIL money comes in and wipes everybody out. Just need to make sure he at least has a double digit number so the speed limit doesn’t drop too low.

Family conference loyalty will steer Arch to an SEC school

of some ilk. Because of that, I never really felt like we had a shot there, anyway.

Interviews and things that have been posted seemed to me like he loved Dabo and Clemson. Always felt we were definitely top 3. Maybe I misinterpreted.

We well could have been in a "Top 3". Butt, unless you wind

up as The Final ONE, that really doesn't matter.

Arch is the best QB coming out of HS over a 3-4

Jan 25, 2022, 11:32 AM

year span. He’ll definitely go to an SEC school. Only question is which one…? Bama seems like a decent choice. One caveat - Saban won’t coach a lot longer. With that in mind, UGA might get him. The SEC is a fire-breathing monster right not now. Football recruiting, basketball, and of course baseball, softball… Better try anything you can to slow them down if you’re not one of them. “All aboard”

I think you forgot that 5 star quarterback Ty Simpson is committed to Alabama. So we’re no better then Alabama when it comes to the Arch Manning sweepstakes. Manning’s family Loves Dabo and the culture we built here. We’re going to be in it for the long run no doubt about it.
