Hate it for the kid but it is the nature of the recruiting process. Hope he lands somewhere that he can be happy and contribute (well, anywhere but South Carolina).

Okay, misread it. He WANTED to commit but hadn't. Initially it came across like he was committed and then got bumped by an oversign.
Yeah, that does happen, especially if you wait until the last second to commit.

This is not that kind of situation. This kid is a highly rated prospect and selfishly waited till the last minute to commit. He can go anywhere he wants. This one is totally on the recruit.

Recruiting works BOTH ways. Often kids leaves schools hanging to the last second. Guess what, schools fill up. Quit the drama and commit early.

No, because Bama is waiting on a 5* DE. If the 5* doesn't commit to Bama then he will. That's where I blame Bama. It's going to get to the point that some players decide they would rather have less drama other places and that's when the house collapses on Satan. Go Tigers.

If the kid was told he had an offer, and he told the team he'd announce on signing day, and the team didn't say "well, we may, or may not, have a spot", then that's on the team for not clarifying.
However, if Bama told him he'd need to commit prior to others, then well, that's on the player.
In this case, he'll land elsewhere and be fine.

please repeat after me.. will swinney is NOT on ship. grayshirting him.. or any preferred w/o.. would not free up a ship for parks. would have NOTHING to do with our 85 ship limit. all it would do is open a spot on the 115 squad size limits.
