You know - that UAB situation really sucks IMO. I worked in Birmingham when they canceled their FB program. It was purely a financial due to injuries and all costs associated with the FB program. Starting it back up does not make any sense either. It will take years for them to re-build that program, so it will remain non-relevant. Also, since it associated with Alabama University, the board/committee that hires coaches will NOT allow an Auburn alum to be the HC there (Ex. Pat Sullivan). They also are not allowed to play ( or beat) the main campus of Alabama. Won't ever happen. While UAB could certainly use the funds from that game, they refuse to allow it. Much like CLEMSON and USUC play the smaller SC schools, UAB would benefit from games with Auburn and/or Alabama, but Alabama and the controlling board are total control freaks.

Anyway - I almost hate to even see UAB play again. Rant over.

complete garbage nothing worth watching past the 1st Qtr. I use to love watching the SCU game that day.
