At times I felt like Mukuba was the only one on the defense

that could run with the Louisville QB. Granted, he is very fast.

Yeah, they didn’t play him early and we were getting burnt.

Once he came in, his closing speed was a difference maker.

Mukuba has been a stud since seemingly Day One. You don't

see many DBs make the transition from high school to college ball as quickly as he has. I have always been suspicious of players who want to wear #1. It, to me, is an indication that they may think too highly of themselves. In Mukuba's case, he may actually be worthy to wear that single digit number.

I have liked this guy from the beginning but last night when he was down near the goal line and was crawling to try to make a tackle tells you a lot about his make up. Impressive player

Venables mentioned post-game that the same player took bad angles on Lousiville's long qb runs. Was it Jalyn Phillips? I feel like we didn't see as much of him in the second half. But it's hard to tell from TV broadcast because you cannot see coverage and definitely don't want to misplace blame.

Well, the biggest problem we had was the ole injury bug. Booth was injured early on and Venables did not play in the game. I think if we would have had them we would have been better. Never mind tho, we shut them down on the goal line.

It helped that the Louisville QB was hobbled

That is also true. Definitely helped the momentum coming off our failed goaline attempt.

I don't think it mattered on the drive where he was in the backfield during 2 plays really close together (on opposite sides). Especially that first one. That first one had a locked on heat seeking missle look about it. The second he adjusted more so/did not come in quite as hot but was coming from snap.

Man, he was a bullet flying across the backfield by the 4th quater.
