Assuming DJ stays another year, but loses

The starting job, do you think he might give baseball a try? He’s got a rocket for an arm and I think was a highly regarded college baseball pitcher prospect.
I’m coming to accept that Dabo is going to ride with the guy that brung him for the remainder of this season, but I just can’t see DJ holding on to the starting job next year.

well, a lot of us thought he wouldn't hold on to the starting job this year but he did so I wouldn't be so sure...

Well, to be honest, he was also a highly regarded college qb prospect. He would also be trying to hit a lot smaller window as a pitcher.

That is a great idea. I have been worried about what happens for DJ next because I cannot see him in the NFL. Pitching might allow him to use his physical talents much better - and give him a future in sports.
If DJ is our starter next year, then I would have a number of very significant questions about our coaching staff - and the future of Clemson football.

I have always thought pitchers were very mental...that they are superstitious about things that they attribute to impacting their pitching, that things can get in their heads they can't shake, that when they start missing the target that it begins to look like the eye of a needle and they have to be able to relax and get through it. With the way things get in DJ's head in football, I can't imagine how baseball could work out.

As a pitcher, he would have to pick up his left foot.... I'm not sure he can do it....
