Are the Tigers going to be a "running or throwing" team?

We have 3 proven studs that can all go for 100+ yards on any given day, BUT an OL that has yet to establish itself & a QB that has been shaky to the point where defenses can stack the box against the run. On the other hand, there's a ton of talent at WR, but they can't stay healthy enough to stay on the field. The coaching changes give us hope that the OL will be improved, TE's are to be more involved and the QB is now healthy.
There are positives & negatives to either argument, but I'm going with a RUN game early in the year and transitioning to more of a passing team about the FSU game. This year should give the Tigers the best chance to be a much more balanced team that they've been in a long while.

if i was the opposing DC I would hit us at our weakest point which was QB. They will stack the box and come after DJ which will make him have to throw which he wasn't stellar at last year. So they may have to start throwing to loosen up the running game.
Conversely, if the oline can run block and protect the qb then it will be 55run and 45 throw IMHO.

Dabo isn't going to hold back throwing the ball. It our starter can't manage keeping up with his receivers this season he will soon be shinning the pine. While we were just a few plays from being a really good team last year we were also a few plays from being 8-4 and a total wash. It was a comedy of injuries, mistakes and lack of performance.
That won't happen this season and we will pass when it's there and run when it's there.

Compared to the “high powered Clemson offenses” of the DW4 and TL16 days, it’ll be run-heavy… but DW4 and 16 also did not have a Shipley, Pace, and Mafah.
In short: it will seem run heavy, but will be a balanced attack as others have mentioned.

This OL will knock people off the ball, should be our beat group maybe ever this season. We are really talented And we have good experience if we stay healthy. Probably the best group star wise ever.

Using two backs can also help with the passing game. One blocking and one becoming a receiver. With our QB situation and running backs, it is going to be a scintillating year.

We’ll need to be balanced and have the ability to do both. To consistently pass/catch will be key, and what did not exist last year.

If DJU can't learn to be more accurate and to put more touch on the FB, we'll be more of a running team, or maybe we have another QB on the roster who can do a better job. Lets hope DJ does great, makes great decisions and has learned the 100 mph fastballs aren't impressive unless they hit the target and are catchable.

We will run to set up the pass. Even in Chad Morris'HUNH offense of the past it's a running oriented scheme. No reason for that to change now especially with our stable of running backs

The key is to be able to do both.
Take what the defense gives you. Make the defense defend the whole field. You can be very good at the pass or the run but be able to do the other when you need to.
