App. State

Oct 23, 2015, 9:52 AM

I much prefer beating Notre Dame than App. State, but has anyone noticed App. State's record this year? Aside from our game, they are blowing out teams. Yes, I know their competition is much less, but we played them at at time when we were just finding out who we were..trying to gel and get experience.

App State
vs HOW W49-0
@ 12 CLEM L41-10
@ ODU W49-0
vs WYO W31-13
@ GA ST W37-3
@ ULM W59-14
vs GASO W31-13

Would beat half of the teams in the ACC. Could be one of our higher quality wins when it is done.

They are FBS (same division as us and South Carolina) and, I believe, are bowl eligible this year. They are in the Sunbelt Conference and, I would say based on how they've played so far this year, are probably the favorites to win that conference. For those that don't know, the Sunbelt Conference is the sacrificial lamb for the SEC with most teams in that conference playing at least two Sunbelt teams each year.

There have been 7 games between Sun Belt and SEC in 2015.

With 2 more remaining (Auburn and Georgia)

You're right.

I incorrectly assumed that UL - Monroe (2 games), Middle Tennessee State (2 games), and UT-Martin (2 games), Western Kentucky (2 games, and Eastern Kentucky (1 game) were in the Sunbelt Conference.

Some of those used to be.

UL-Monroe still is.

MTSU and Western Kentucky are in Conference USA, but both used to be in the Sun Belt. UT-Martin and Eastern Kentucky are FCS schools.

Easy now. I don't know about that. They might beat a couple. Maybe. Apples and Oranges.

Heck, they way they stopped Ga So's option last night, they'd give GT a run for the money.

They are 12-1 in their last 13 games

I would also love to see them play the chickens, it would be a W for App St.

App St. Is a #### good football team and would have a very good chance of beating any team in the acc not named Clemson or Florida St.
