The good:

I started with a 5 gal bucket and cut a hole in it sized for the OD on a grommet. No cost because all those product were leftovers from other work.

The ID of the grommet was sized to some old plex pipe which was left over from years ago. No cost.

With five Beefsteak® tomato plants I fitted pieces of plex and hose such that the plex would sit on top of the cultivated spots for each plant about 20-25 inch on the plex and the hose spanned the distance over grass.

I had the drill bit to drill tiny holes in the plex and the wire I bent in shape to manage a hose which had been curled for a couple years. I felt like everything was free because the junk I used has been in the way for years.

The bad:

The pole in the photo is an old bed frame which I drove in the ground about 18". I'm going to have to move those poles to the area between the plants and not so close. Wire, string or old bed sheet will span between the poles over the plants to support the world class tomatoes I'm growing.

The ugly:

I bought a cheap pack ($7.00) of cheap hose clamps and Harbor Freight sold me a 2 year membership renewal- $42.00.

Yes, I'm still trying to find someone to rent a space to paint the body on my project car. AND, thanks to Obed® it took me 6 months to save the $2200 for the Glasurit base and clear coats.

Greenville, SC.

I want to find someone close so I can ruin their use of GMO matters grown in Mexico and South America. That's not to say Big Boys and Better Big boys and the first GMO tomatoes weren't really good but these are heirlooms.

I might be able to box up a few green ones and send them but they'd need special packaging to survive any carrier's abuse.

At your age, the old hose is bound to leak a little bit.
