Anyone notice Kelly Bryant

Dec 11, 2017, 11:52 PM

Is 100 times more accurate on the rollout or scramble? He has been accurate in the pocket too, but not consistently. When he rolls out he literally makes throws that he doesnt seem like he has in his bag. Something about being off balance actually helps him. If you watch any games, watch 3rd downs. He hits people on the run all the time, even throwing across his body VERY, VERY, well. I think getting him out of the pocket is good. What say you?

If your assessment is correct, he should always be moving before he attempts a pass to any of his receivers. That would only make good sense, right?

I noticed his rushing yards per play goes down

when he hands the ball off to somebody. This cannot happen if we expect to beat Bama!

I agree with Lightbulb. You need to check yourself. I think we have already established that opposing coaches read this board for help. We all know how shrewd Saban is, so he is certainly looking. In fact, I'll wager that these Bama "fans" are actually him or his minions.

Folks, there is just too much football wisdom here to freely share with the other guys. :)

Seriously, though. Sometimes players can out-think a situation instead of just reacting. That may be the case here, if, indeed, he is more accurate on the run. Regardless, I am a huge fan. He has been a great player on and off the field - love is personality. He has been a great KB.

Perhaps 'on the move' is his timing mechanism.

I've explainified the heck out of this phenomenon and...

no one pays attention. The critical factor between passing on the run and passing from a stationary stance is the feet. KB hurt and ankle which altered power of his legs to generated hip rotation which altered the power build to rotate the shoulders. The feet/ankles are the foundation on which the engine which generates most of the energy that puts velocity on a throw or pass.

TL;DR: If within one machine you have four working engines producing power and one of them stops working at peak performance the overall power produced by the four will decrease. The natural solution is to tweak one or all of the other engine to try and reach the level of that power previously produced.

TL;DR: Stop making assumptions based on superstition and I'll stop trying to sound like an engineer.

I have thought likewise on several occasions.... but for fear of getting sniped at, too, Al B Dammed if I’m gonna say it out loud on tnet.

Gonna be a LONG three weeks until they spot the ball down in NOLA....
