My obsession lies with the folks trying to compete with my recruit watchin' skills. They are my Rivals , and I be Scoutin' them fools like 24/7. ESPN should do a show on my recruitnik ways.

It's my fix. I have to check every day to see if we have picked up another verbal and what is being said. For the last two years i have watched signing day in Feb.

I've been obsessed since we were recruiting JD. I've known Cris over at TI for years and I remember him coming to my house back in the day, giving me a copy of the magazine they used to put out and saying that the coaching staff was really high on this kid out of Georgia. I think I was a little more obsessed back then cause top 15 classes were definitely not the norm. Hell, we're pulling that about every year now. Kinda easy to take it for granted nowadays but I still get hyped up when we pull those top guys.

Same here. Love the recruiting "season". Meeting friends at Wingin It in Clemson on signing day and we go to the Signing Day BBQ. Good times. This year, they will probably have the 17 early enrollees there.

Lol, tell me about it. Back then recruiting was a month to month thing. Now, it's 24/7 and thanks to social media, the fans can find out where a recruit is leaning or who he committed to as soon as the sites do. Crazy how much things have changed from what doesn't seem like all that long ago.

ESPN reshuffled their rankings and SEC'd the heck out of it?! No surprise. They dropped Tucker, Kelly, Van, and some others from the Top 300. I then compared it to 24/7's and it's totally different when you see how the SEC influences the ESPN rankings. I'm gonna do a brief post about it tomorrow after I look into it some more. If I could, I'd Tillman the bejesus outta them people over at ESPN.

Do you have a list of previous rankings. It seemed like at least 1 dropped from the top 300, but I couldn't figure out who. It looks like we still have 12 which is very strong.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of college football. I have a spread sheet for each of the coming three years with prospects, targets and commits. Clemson had done very well understanding what future Tigers can bring to the program and how the coaching staff will make them better players and men. Can't wait for signing day. It's my birthday and I hope to get some great new Tigers as presents.

I, too, have become obsessed with recruiting! When my son's friends ask him about recruiting, he says, "Let me call Mom." The day Wilkins committed, my computer was down. My husband texted me and I was going crazy trying to get on the internet to see what everyone was saying. I had a meeting with a lawyer recently on a big commitment day and when he walked in, I said, "Can you believe we got Huggins?" I thought he would never stop laughing.
I used to get really upset when we didn't get a recruit but now I'm more pragmatic. I know our coaches will get the skill players with the right personality to fit in and do well at Clemson. I also know they are doing it the right way. I am loving the ride! Go Tigers!
