No long time Clemson fan complains about a win in Tallahassee

Quite frankly I would’ve preferred will be down by 2 Points, drive the field and kick a field goal to win it as time expired to make it hurt as much as possible. How many times did Florida State stomp on our hopes and dreams in the 90s and 2000s? More than I care to remember

Someone replied to me yesterday that they aren’t our biggest division rival. I have no idea what’s happened to our fanbase. Because of this win we now have the opportunity to set the all time win streak for any opponent against FSU next year at home.

No question about. Age brings perspective and this win is big. Anytime you beat FSU at night at home is special.

They were our nemesis for years. Dominated the league and us. Definitely our biggest division rival.

Have been watching Clemson football since ‘76. Not complaining about loss, and I don’t think most are. It’s the lethargic malaise that comes over our team on occasion, where we seemingly just play to “hang on” versus staying aggressive. One more score and FSU gives up, yet we seemed determined to let them make a game of it. Make no mistake, if they recover that kick, they win. Should have NEVER come down to that.

Agree with this. I don’t know of any who complained about the Win. I know most everyone was disappointed in the last 20 or 25 minutes. At the end of the day, it was a W.

TU but I get nervous when Clemson's down in the first quarter at Doak Campbell. I wouldn't want to see them down anywhere near time expiring!

No one is complaining about the win! It’s the complacency and lack of urgency to put the opponent down and out! We’ve seen it all season.
And today’s FSU is nothing like FSU from 10-15 years ago.
Clemson can coast through the conference on vanilla ### play calling and sloppy defense because of talent. Post season, they will get beat. Hopefully, the players and coaches can get that hunger and drive back, like next week!

Very much love that the tables have turned and we now kick FSU’s butt every year but nothing wrong with long time fans also realizing beating FSU isn’t the above all end all that it used to be. We are a national powerhouse now. In the 2000’s we weren’t so beating FSU in 2003 and 2006 was a BIGGER DEAL. It still is a BIG DEAL but we have much much loftier goals now
