Coots BIG time.

This is a good young man

Jul 29, 2013, 9:04 PM

This is a good young man. He comes from a good family.

A good country boy who likes to hunt, fish, and play tennis believe it or not.

Clemson is the perfect place for him. Ideal fit.

I just don't understand why he is a lean to the Coots though. Only thing I can think of is that it is closer to home.

He is too good of a kid to end up in Columbia

Has a really really good relationship with there ol coach sean elliot. Basically they needed him and really put in the work. He wants to go to bama but that just isnt in the cards for him.

And he speaks very well. If he chose the coots, he would be in the top 3 smartest guys on the entire team.

I had the opportunity to meet this young man at my daughter's softball tournament back in May. I introduced myself, wearing my 2011 ACC Championship shirt, I think he enjoyed the short chat. If we get him, I'm taking credit, if we don't, this thread never happend!!

He's a big strong country boy. Just the kind of guys you would love on your offensive line. Doesn't look like he's carrying much bad weight and could make an impact relatively early. Him and Crowder at the guard spots would be filthy. I heard he is probably a USC guy but I still like our chances.

With him being a country boy, Clemson is the perfect spot for him. Columbia certainly is not the place for him.

Hope we can turn him away from the Coots.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Don't get your hopes up.He's a Alabama lean. I have talked t

him about staying in state. Clemson in particular. A very good baseball player as well. I had them in state playoffs and once during the reular season.

Alabama makes more sense than S.Car

Jul 30, 2013, 9:32 AM

Tuscaloosa isn't as much of a city atmosphere as Columbia.

I feel like Clemson would be a perfect fit for a country boy like him, but I think he probably has people in his ear telling him that Clemson/Spread offensive linemen don't go pro very often. (which isn't necessarily true if you look at Texas A&M)

Considering how many NFL teams are going spread-like, it

should be a plus.

Lake Murray is 20 mins from campus. Fishing is allowed there.

Lake Wateree is less than an hour from campus. Fishing is also allowed at Lake Wateree.

Rural Lexington and Orangeburg counties are 20-40 mins from campus. Hunting and fishing are now allowed in these counties

Rural Kershaw County is 20-30 mins from campus. State law allows fishing and hunting in this area.

Santee State Park on Lake Marion is 1 hour from Columbia. People have been known to fish at Lake Marion.

Students and athletes at the University of South Carolina, like every other public college, are permitted to leave campus. In addition, plenty of "country boys" play football at South Carolina, just like country boys play football at Tennessee, NC State, and a host of other places.

Speed limit is 45 until you get out of Gaston for about 5 miles. Then when you get to swansea, it's 35 to 45 almost all the way to OB county line. So he won't get to OB county line in 20 minutes. By the speed limit, he can't be in swansea in 20 minutes. But coots never obey the laws on the roads. So you can be in swansea in 20 minutes from exit 1 I-77 driving 70mph.

Young man basically has two choices

Jul 31, 2013, 6:41 PM

1. Go play for a classless, jerk in an urban environment, feel overwhelmed by the downtown crowds or

2. Come play for Dabo and spend four years on a rural campus, with small town feel. Seems to me, if he enjoys the country way of life...

This is no brainer!!

Go Tigers!!
