Listen youngster! Who are you calling old? Yes, I remember him well. Actually, Dan's original place was outside Pendleton and became Mac's Drive-In. Dan's only son, Butch, was a real good friend of mine. we played mite and midget football out on Bowman Field. As well as, basketball and baseball together. We'd go by Dan's after school and/or practice or games and grab a burger. We thought we were so cool hanging out with 'college students'. In front of Dan's was a small building on the triangle where I got my hair cut by the man that eventually opened Mr. Knickerbockers. I could go on and on.

I can still picture Dan patting out those burgers. Always fresh--never frozen. No one ever left Dan's hungry. Remember that gallery of football photos around the walls?
