were given the most incredible gift ever bestowed. Not even the most Pious among us truly deserve this gift, but that is what makes it all the more incredible.
The gift, or course, is Jesus Christ taking all our sins onto his own shoulders, and offering himself as a willing human sacrifice, taking our place as the Wages of Sin.
What happened all those years ago today marked the absolute lowest point in the lives of those early disciples of Jesus. Even though they had been told that He would rise again, in their agony and grief at observance of the actual crucifixion of Christ, that hope and promise was temporarily forgotten. The reason for their lives as they had lived them was DEAD. But, in reality, a countdown had begun. One that would result in the most incredible news the world has ever been given on that following Sunday.
He had been betrayed. He had been killed, in the most cruel and hideous way, surrounded by criminals on both sides. But, death and the tomb could not hold him. He arose, conquering death. He ascended to his Heavenly Father. And, He has made a place for us to be with Him for all Eternity, and awaits our arrival. All we have to do is repent, believe in Him, accept the gift of Eternal Life that He freely offers, and that we celebrate this weekend. We are not worthy, but that is why it is called the Grace of God. Thank You, Jesus. Today, and every day.

Unfortunately, that’s just part of the Hollywood “all paths are equal and all lead to the same heaven.”
Whether you call God Yahweh, Allah, The Universe, Gaia, Baal, Vishnu, Tezcatlipoca, Ra, Zeus, etc. it really doesn’t matter. Just be devout and be a good person. It’s all good.

No. Only God is good as Jesus said in Luke 18:19. "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6.
Good people don't go to heaven. Only repentant sinners forgiven by Jesus go to heaven.

Most of contemporary scholarhood believes that a man named Jesus lived some two thousand years ago because of his impact in that region. The only real question is, was he/ is he who he said he was? He said he was God. So he was either a pathological liar, a megalomaniac, or he was God and actually died, was buried, and was risen from the dead.
It is one thing to examine the evidence and find it wanting. It is another to not examine the evidence.
Over 500 eye witnesses saw him resurrected.

The knowledge that Jesus CHOSE to die for a wretch like me causes me to fall on my knees before Him. The scripture tells me that as He hung on the cross suffering unimaginable agony
He already knew me and how I would fail Him, yet He loved me. He whose glory makes the heavens shine, loves me. He could have called a legion of angels to come and take Him from the cross and destroy the world. Instead He prayed for those who nailed Him to that horrible cross and showed grace to the thief who hung beside Him. He suffered and died to pay for My sins. Such love is beyond my finite minds understanding. But I believe it with everything in me. And I know that soon and very soon we will be going to see our King!!
