They’ll turn on Beamer soon enough. Subpar football coach with a severe case of little man syndrome. I’ve never seen the oxygen sucked out of a stadium like I did during that 30-0 shellacking in Nov.

Coot walk down the steps in the endzone where all the students sit, rip off his black leather jacket, throw it on the ground, STOMP ALL OVER IT, and walk out of the stadium. I wish I had that on video...

So do I, but I get the image, and I have overheard so many coot conversations that reflected that same level of disappointment and dejection over the years. Hearing them lament and wallow in misery never gets old to me.

Lol, this is far from a decent hire considering how their hiring process unfolded. From a Clemson perspective, this is one of the best possible outcomes, if not the best based on the names they were originally tossing around (Miller, Boynton, McMahon).

Only had one NCAA tourney appearance in his 5 year coaching career. Went below .500 in 2 of his seasons. Looks like we're going to see some more years of coot basketball mediocrity.

Imagine most Usuc fans will be disappointed. There were some big names floated and this one is a little lackluster.

The coot fans are like the OP of this thread. Both thing they can have their choice of coaches which is far from the truth.

I live in Chattanooga. He appears weekly on local sports radio show. Sounds like a good dude. Connects with the kids.

Id rather him then Brad Brownell. Need a new coach to bring enthusiasm in the program. His teams play very hard.

2 out of 5 seasons. Mickey has been hammering them on the radio for the way they paraded Sean Miller all over town as their next coach....and then BAM....he signs with Xavier!

It's a tredectory that you look at. Each year they got better. Started with a team that was awful. Took his 3rd year to get competetive. He had a winning record vs Bob Richie 3-0 this season, and Richie still has never made the NCAAT. It will take Paris a few years to show any significant improvement, but if Clemson keeps Brad that long they could pass his program.

QUESTION FOR EVERYONE. DOES ANYONE THINK THIS PERSON IS ACTUALLY A CLEMSON FAN. LORD I SURE HOPE HE IS NOT. PLUS HE IS A TERRIBLE SPELLER.

Huh, has a DePauw connection....
But I don't know if he will pan out. One up season and bolt. Not good even with a trend and the Mocs are not a basket-case of a program. They have the Div2 title before leveling up. They had prior NCAA runs (although getting thinner) but that is just the Socon coaching jumps happening. Recruit? Meh. He grabbed the Smith kid who can play and He grabbed the ex-Kansas kid that started the KState riot that ended up blinding a guy. He was on trial for some serious assault chargers. That makes me wonder about his thinking. He had a few other kids develop more than being a recruiting wonder... which would be a good thing but this is south carolina and the only developing they do is on the local news...
