The answer to that is that Grice threw 2 lollipop pitches on 0-2 counts right over the plate that should never have been thrown. Ammons should have never been in the game and the side retired after the first guy went 0-2 with a high hard one out of the strike zone.

I prepped a reply, canceled it, then read your comments again royles. Don’t trash a Tiger. They’ve given us fans plenty to be happy about vs last season. Quite a turnaround, don’t you think? I’m not going to trash you, you don’t deserve it any more than the pitching staff. Stand behind the Tigers!!

Let me get this straight. None of the batters after we got the bases loaded with three outs had anything to do with our defeat. A loss like this one is almost never due to one player's performance. The hitter deserved some credit. Home runs are hard to hit!

Down to last strike and giving up a 3-run dinger stimgs.
Having bases loaded with no outs, and getting zilch.
That’s a super rarity.
Both of these things happening in the same game does not bode well. It should have been Tennessee and Charlotte burning thru their pitchers today and facing CU tonight (and tomorrow if needed).
Would have been great to make the Super Regionals, but we had a very good season. Win as a team/lose as a team.
