You aren't accountable for any of that.

Jan 1, 2019, 11:36 AM [ in reply to Re: Also illegal touching on DK's fumble. Even if it stayed ]

If there's a church or religion without sin it's one which excludes man. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We try to find reasons to look down upon one another, we draw lines which establish different levels of sin but the glory of God is where God draws the line. There are no levels for sinners. That line established at the glory of God is at the foot of the Cross at Calvary. Christ is on one side and we're all on the other.

We are accountable enough to God for being on the wrong side of that line, each of us has his hands full with personal accountability. God did not commission us to defend or condemn one another. That's the Christ's job so do not allow yourself to assume anything as ridiculous as trying to be responsible for the sins of others.

You and I have turned to Jesus with confidence that He and He alone can accomplish that task. The only person who can look down upon another Christ. Thank God He looks down with love and not condemnation.

I draw a distinction between judging the sin of individuals and the institutional covering up for those sinners by an organization made up of Christians.

Of course people are going to sin, but it takes a whole network of sinners to overlook that individual sin and put them in a prime position to repeat it.

Not judging the Catholic Church as a whole though, only specific diocese where this seems to be a problem.

Sorry to mix religion and football.

Well, when a requirement to be a priest is abnormal sexual

behavior(celibacy), then you are going to attract those to the job, that are more likely to indulge in abnormal sexual behavior!

The catholic Church body has been corrupt since

Jan 1, 2019, 12:12 PM [ in reply to Re: You aren't accountable for any of that. ]

the start. It used to mostly be about getting everyones mandatory payment to the church and for the church to keep power with the King. Even though things have changed, three things have not: The Catholic churches desire to be relevant and controlling (The pope constant ramblings about American politics), The powers of the Church will do anything to hide sins of its leaders to protect its reputation (again all about the money) and the members hypocrisy (constantly supporting a political group that openly goes against what their leaders say they are most against, Abortion mainly).

The years and years of covering up the sexual abuses of young boys makes this body of religion not christian. 1000's of cases of ongoing sexual abuses that every level of the church new about but never stopped any of it. Look at what we did to Penn State over one man, the church did nothing over many and people Destroyed Penn State but still love their Cardinals and Bishops.

Yes, the ND player was clearly laying out of bounds..

Jan 1, 2019, 11:20 AM

when his hand touched the ball. The last possession was Clemson's and that touch killed the play. That should have been the call on the field. They blew it and left it up to the booth crew to work it out. The booth probably could not make the dead ball call that the field official missed due to rule restrictions so they took the honest and only way out and called the ball out of bounds.

We saw that a couple years ago when one of WRs fumbled and an opposing player laying out of bounds touched the ball. I think it was Mike Williams who fumbled but I'm not sure. It was a turnover which ended a drive.

Yep...it was Mike...

And the NC State game. Never have Clemson tried harder to give a game away, only to be met by an ungrateful recipient. LOL! Frustrating game to watch.
