Has an ACC basketball team ever...

been in a situation where they were either going to win the ACC or not make the tournament going into the last week of the season? I get the ACC is down but I just have a hard time buying that we would be in this situation if we had Duke, UNC or NC State on our jerseys with the same resume.

If those teams get bids and we do not, then there is something to the idea of bias toward blue blood tradition.
Meanwhile, we just need to keep winning and put all this to rest.
Tonight is sort of crucial.

lol, their strength of schedule is better because they all beat us at least once, our strength of schedule is worse because we beat them and they have so so records..

Clemson is 2 - 0 against NC State, 1-0 against Duke, and 0-1 against UNC this season.
Clemson's SOS ranking is lower because Clemson had to play the top teams in the league (Pitt, Duke, Miami, Virginia, and North Carolina) only one time.

This was to pad wins. Brad easily could have scheduled some tougher teams. Outside of Iowa that we played in a Tournament, the ACC/Big10 Challenge, and #238 SCAR game we play every year (Not his fault), our next 3 toughest scheduled OCC games were...

#161 Richmond
#260 Bellarmine
Those are the TOUGHEST.

It's def weird knowing you could finish in the Top 4 of the Conf and still be on the bubble to get in. An upset tonight would be an automatic ticket in I believe. NC ST on the road was nice, but one more to make up for bad losses to SC, Loy-Chi and Louis is really needed.

It would take Pitt somehow losing to Notre Dame and then beating Miami for us to be #1 in the ACC and win the tie-breaker.

And Pitt has a great basketball history. I don't think it's a conspiracy. The ACC had a horrible OCC this year.

I heard from a sports guy on the radio that since the ACC went to the top 4, double bye seeding, those 4 teams have always made the NCAA tournament. I didn't go verify it but it makes sense and IMO that will play out this year as well.
