IF Lawrence was still the QB and going thru what DJ is now, would Dabo make a change?

There is no way to spin it. DJ just IS NOT a D1 quarterback right now. Five games in and the offense still can’t score a TD. Potter can’t carry this team and should not be asked to!


I am asked a dozen times every day why the coaches are staying with this kid. I have no answer. Do you?

It’s Yes.

It wasn’t due to struggling, but Trevor did get pulled during the first half sometimes for a series to get DJ in there…if I remember correctly.

Obviously I was referring to struggling, we all know that Dabo went to the bench when things were going great. Right now, things ain’t going great.

if TP were backing up Trevor, no.

Kelly Bryant struggled in games in 2017 but they werent pulling him. When Trevor, a superior talent arrived, they pulled the trigger.

DJ as much as he has struggled is still by far the most talented QB we have

And we know this how ? Asking bc this is the thing we heard when we heard that stoudt and Bryant “gave us the best chance to win”… some kids are gamers I mean why not let dj sit and watch a few series and just see how TP reacts … if he’s that worried about that destroying his confidence like ppl say then he’s def not gonna Make it long term regardless … called adversity and if he’s who we think and want him to be he will

Difference between talent and performance. I’d lose my job if I relied on the fact that I was talented but didn’t perform.

I think the NIL thing has absorbed him and he has not put the time in obviously advancing or even maintaining his skills. He has to put in the effort himself.

It is hard to believe he is the first in last one out. Maybe things will click

If DJ is pulled he may get his feelings hurt and get upset with the staff. If DJ has hundreds of thousands of dollars now thanks to NIL he may decide to leave Clemson and transfer back home to the west coast. That’s just my opinion and I hope I am wrong.
