Alice Hewson - Special Clemson Athelete

For those that never met, or got to know the Hewson family, giving back and helping others is in their DNA. Alice volunteered while at Clemson too. She's always believed and said "Golf is for everyone"

Dr. albert schweitzer,a nobel peace prize winner in 1952,once said to a group of younger people:"only those of you who have sought and found how to serve will be happy".it seems ms. hewson has already taken his philosophy to heart and is on her way to a life well spent.she's to be envied.

Never will forget the first time I met Alice. She had been on campus about a month. On the 15th tee at Furman she was leading the tournament which she won, walked over to me and started a conversation. Had I been in the same situation I would be talking to no one, but that's the way Alice is every day. Later, met her Mum and Dad at the Clemson invitational. I still keep up with Michelle through FB. Wonderful family.

Thank you for sharing that. I hope everyone reads this story. It's all too common with Clemson people. I think coach Hester has something pretty special going on culture wise and it started with Alice.
