just read on fox sports that alabama is using a 2016 mid-year enrollee,jalen hurts,to simulate Deshaun in practice.makes you wonder how seriously they are taking us.even raised eye brows with the fox sports people.do they really think that a kid literally just out of high school is going to play the role of the guy who just humiliated mighty Oklahoma and show their defense what they can expect from #4?hoping and praying that's the case.

And coach v was better. Did you see the article about the call on the 4th down that the d knew what was coming because they had seen it on film. Baker walks down line as if to change play and a direct snap to rb. Coach V ran that 20x it says, well done on the studying.

Seriously? You use the backup most like the opposing QB in practice. None of Bama's five QBs on the fall roster were dual-threat type QBs. So the early enrollee is the QB with the skill set most similar to Watson.

If Bama doesn't start class until 13 Jan then how can they have a guy who isn't in class and isn't on a scholarship (very doubtful that they don't already have 85 on scholarship or 115 on the roster).

You're right. Alabama is ignorant of all NCAA rules and willing to risk NCAA sanctions to have an early enrollee play the role of Watson in practice.

I seriously doubt a mid-year enrollee can be practicing already, because classes haven't started there...so, the clock hasn't started. Could be wrong...but, that doesn't make much sense.

If they figure that's who's available to give some kind of emulation of a dual-threat QB, then that's what they should do.
