Ain’t gonna lie I’m excited about Nate Wiggins this week

Listening some of his interviews, he owned his performance Saturday and said he hope teams continue to try him because he knows it won’t happen again. Not saying he will play perfect but that’s the mindset you want in a player be humble enough to take your beatings but have the fire to say try it again. Expect a lockdown performance from his this weekend maybe a pick

Wow, I sure hope you are right, but that’s just not usually how big boy athletics work. I was hoping Nate won’t see the field much. I will say I don’t think he can do as bad as he did last weekend. Wakes QB and wide receivers are really good.

I definitely hope the guys can see the field Saturday. We sit in the splash zone if the weather is really as predicted.

Nate the great? Drew all the rave reviews from coaches, all of them. Iron sharpens iron. Maybe we got bad steel on the one side. Especially b4 two left... And a couple that couldn't practice that may have burnt him a time or two.
However, I think what happened last week and honestly these first 4 games is all on coaching and I'm not talking Wes lecheck esq. Dabo and Reed/Conn and yes the great CBV. It's the development process that imo requires a much deeper dive.
Dabo gets praised for playing tons of players as well he should. It's serves us good. That said, players (freshman) get a couple snaps here and there. Dabo and maybe the other coaches too idk reward players by letting them play most snaps. Nolan Turner, Goodrich, and Tyler good examples from last couple years as well as Skalski.
Here's the crux. Same with QB. We've been blowing teams out. CBV would empty the bench well into 2nd half once it was 56-3. Nate, Greene, others etc etc should have been getting live snaps in the first half. Same with DJU his freshman year and other oline. We knew we'd beat those teams. Therefore the snapcounts appear to be rotating players but only after other team quit and put their 3s in. To me it's planning and depth management... So yeah, I think some criticism is warranted. In addition, we should have let pride play more in GA tech game and Furman game. But it's also a failure to use the portal.

I too hope you are right. I think though that this is not just about applying better technique, harder work, and growing up our corners. Alot can be taught but some of it is just raw talent. Mackensie Alexander was a lock down corner as a true freshman, who was left out on an island by Coach Venables many times. He was rarely torched and by the end of that freshman season many teams just stopped throwing the ball in his direction.

We need another Alexander, or 2. That does seem to be our weakest link right now. I was under-impressed with our DL last game, too. I hope they pick up their performance and get back to dominating again.

Football, like life, kicks you in the balls sometimes. How you respond is up to you.

We have put a lot of blame of the CB and a lot is absolutely warranted but the DLine was got to affect the QB. If Hartman doesn’t have the time to throw then the CB don’t have to hang on as long.

The DL was busy getting pushed back about 5-9 yards every running play. That was the biggest surprise to me last weekend. I really thought they would have little success vs our DL. Hope that gets fixed this week, for sure, along with Wiggins' play. I expect we see huge improvement.

A lockdown performance???

I assume he will be better this week, but lockdown? I don’t see him going from not instinctively turning his head to find the ball on a single play to being Terry Kinard in a week’s time.

Anyone remember the names of those DB's that Trevor lit up in the 2018 Natty? They playing on Sunday now? Yes.

Probably gonna get his wish, because after watching what he just put on film, I imagine he'll get tried early and often.
