Travis Etienne is the best RB in the NCAA

164 carries for 1307 yards , an 8.0 yards per carry clip . His ACC best 19 rushing tds means he hits paydirt every 8th time he is given the football .
By comparison , the NCAA leader is J. Taylor at Wisconsin . He has 1989 yds , 682 more than TE . Tack on 116 additional carries , and using Etienne's YPC average if you'd given Travis the ball 116 more times this year he'd have in the ballpark of 2235 yards on the ground and near 33 TDS or more .
Travis Etienne is special folks , we know all about this , and so do the teams that face him . We've been blessed with a stable of good backs though , and he's gone about his sharing the load like a fine man and an even better teammate . With Feaster and Adam Choice off of the roster next year I expect to see his share of the carries go up , his production increase and his Heisman hype escalate quickly . Trevor Lawrence's presence in year two will demand coverages to keep the defensive fronts as thin as possible ... and our RBs should find plenty of empty grass out there .
Let's be fair here , it's my opinion and my post .. but Travis Etienne is the best running back now in the country ... and if his health holds up and Lyn-Jet Dixon doesn't take half the handoffs , next year won't be any fun for opposing tacklers trying to deal with ETN .

but why do you think Feaster would leave early? I think he needs another year.

I'd agree he should stay another year and my belief is based purely on a hunch . Tavien has improved significantly in his blocking , he can catch the ball pretty well out of the backfield and he has sick homerun speed . He's been more physical this year and he's gotten lower and driven through tackles as well . I just think he'll want to test the next level . I believe he would go late 3rd/early 4th round . Maybe he stays , I don't know ... I would certainly welcome him to .

Lyn-J is looking more and more like Travis2.0 to me anyway so I think we are in good hands.

52 carries for 531 yards , and 10.2 yards per carry clip . His ACC best for a 4th string back 4 rushing tds means he hits paydirt every 13th time he is given the football .
By comparison , the NCAA leader is J. Taylor at Wisconsin . He has 1989 yds , 1458 more than LD( lutz, just realized his initials are LD). Tack on 228 additional carries , and using Dixon's YPC average if you'd given LD the ball 228 more times this year he'd have in the ballpark of 2856 yards (significantly more than ETN) on the ground and near 22 TDS or more .
Lyn-J Dixon is special folks , we know all about this , and so do the teams that face him . Wouldn't his initials actually be L-J D ? The J stands for Jets .

I agree. I think ETN is the best RB in the country. Still has room to grow as a pass blocker (although mightily improved this year) and could be better catching the ball out of the backfield. But just an amazing runner with the ball in his hands.
I don't think Feaster leaves early. I don't think the production or tape is in his favor...yet. I think he's gotten better as the year has progressed, and I hope he stays to continue to improve. The only doubt about this in my mind is that he could be thinking Lyn-J will steal even more carries from him next year than Choice has this year. If he leaves early, I could see him getting drafted in the 6th or 7th, or possibly picked up as a UFA. Just my .02.
