What the selection committee is saying is that whatever Ohio State does is the proper strategy to get into the playoff. Ohio State is smart for scheduling Oklahoma early in the season before OK gets their sh*t together. But if you are an Oklahoma, TCU, or Penn State, you should schedule weaker teams so you can beat them, knowing that if the choice is between you and Ohio State, it will be held against you. If you schedule a stronger team and lose, then if the choice is between you and Ohio State, tough cookies, OSU has the better record. At least Herbstreit is measured and tries to control his bias ( in a passive aggressive way), but it couldn't be more obvious that Joey Galloway is a homer for OSU.

It's hard to say...I don't agree with putting mich in bc of h2h with Ohio st......I can't say that Penn state is better than Ohio state or mich......I'm glad we are in, but we deserve to be in too!

Penn St beat OSU near the end of the season, when it is supposed to be more meaningful. And they are one of the hottest teams in football.
