Long time reader, first time poster

Nov 10, 2015, 4:08 PM

Hello everyone! Loooong time reader here, first time poster.

I just wanted to make a comment on schedule comparisons, the "eye test" and the bozo (collegefootballnews) that implied we shouldn't be in the top 4 even if we are 13-0...

To me there is a difference between choosing the "best 4 teams" or the "4 most deserving teams." The committee is charged with picking the best 4 teams. (If you are going for the 4 most deserving teams, then schedule analysis is fair and warranted. But if you're choosing the best 4 teams, then looking at the schedule helps, but it's not the be all, end all. Believe it or not (media), you can be one of the best 4 teams and not play in the SEC!)

Anyways, at 13-0 we are in, no doubt about it. Right now, we are absolutely one of the top 4 teams in the country and I'll be in Syracuse this weekend to cheer us on!

Go Tigers!!

Sorry to tell you but Arkansas will jump us

Arkansas beat Ole Miss... Ole Miss beat Alabama. Alabama is the best team in the country...

It really doesn't matter how you look at it...

Clemson are the best team in the country. As far as asking 'Who would you not want to face right now,' I'd imagine no coach out there wants his defense blown away by DW or try to convert a third and long against Clemson.

Agree - based on all the factors, including eye test we are

Nov 10, 2015, 4:21 PM

best.

Ohio State hasn't played anyone
Baylor hasn't played anyone
Alabama has a loss to a currently unranked team (on their home field) and just like us, they have 2 wins over currently ranked opponents

I'd really like to hear the case for anytime that has a better record against a better schedule than Clemson.

Absolutely agree!

I think we are the best team in the country AND the most deserving team.

What drives me nuts is how people evaluate teams. Suppose the New England Patriots played our schedule and went 13-0. Would people look at that and say "Ah too bad, they can't be one of the best 4 teams because of who they played!"? Of course not, that's absurd. Yet people who try to ding our schedule (who are wrong anyway...) are essentially making that argument. Playing our schedule and being the best team in the country are not mutually exclusive, no matter what eSECpn says!

I am a Huge Clemson fan. But if you think our O will blow out Bama's D ....you've lost what little bit of mind you had left. No one is going to run the ball on them......and you'll be hard pressed to get any protection for throwing. that said.....I think we would beat them....but not blow them out...

You must know from reading that the first TU you give has to be to PsychoTea.

There's a lot to be said if we go undefeated.

Nov 10, 2015, 4:45 PM

That means, obviously, (but maybe not to media talking heads) we had no losses, no hiccups, no lapses of concentration of hardly any kind. Hell, we didn't win the turnover battle a couple of times and still won. Doesn't matter who you play, that means a lot. ZERO losses means consistency, for an entire season.
