What are you judging Clemson MBB on with this NCAA Tourny? For starters- we played Duke; Miami and UNC tougher than their opponents in the Sat. & Sun. games. The current season's weak ACC has 3 if the Sweet 16 hoop teams. They may none after next weekends games or they may have a team(s) advance through to the Final 4.
I just watched the Purdue/Texas game. Some rough battle' a whole lot of fouls--bordering 50. Purdue missed 13 free throws in that game and still won by 10. The ACC refs would have called twice as many fouls as were called in this game during the just concluded season and Tournament in Brooklyn. I am not defending CBB with my comments but Clemson's teams need to learn to play with some grit and vigor to replicate what I have seen in the '22 "Big Dance". There were several games this year where I doubt we shot 13 free throws. Ayers and Luckie from the ACC have been calling games this weekend for certain and likely other referees from ACC have as well.
The NIT is down to 8 teams left and 2 are ACC squads. Conference does not appear weak to me. Can I hear some on this site screaming "SEC; SEC; SEC" now?

I think you answered it well: Grit and Vigor.

After reading a lot of Tnet posts i have determined that most of you guys are clueless. You have no understanding of the situation or how to go about improving the program. Most are pretty much bandwagon posters spouting the common narrative. Really no different than the MSN spouting the Democrat narrative over and over hoping folks will believe it (eventually).

I think your political reference is interesting. It seems as though there is a direct correlation in relation to Clemson basketball. In both instances, folks will tell you what your actually seeing with your own eyes isn’t so. You can have stats and figures which make you believe what your seeing is true, yet your told it isn’t. Seems both need to blown up and rebuilt to me

Exactly what am disputing that you have seen with your own eyes?

My points

The season was a disappointment
CBB is a mid pack ACC type of coach (his record reflects this comment)
CBB's record is very similar to OP and Barnes
I support a coaching change IF we make other investments in the program meaning we hire a high end experienced coach and provide the related resources

I do not support a coaching change IF the only thing we change is the coach meaning we go out and hire someone with no experience in a major conference. We have seen this over and over and it never ends well.

So i ask again what have you seen that i am disputing?
