Need suggestions on good places to eat in Walterboro SC. Will be going on a 3 day hunt there in Nov. Home cooking, BBQ, local burgers, etc

Yea Dukes BBQ is an alright place to eat. On main street theres a little restaurant called Main Street Grille that has gotten better since I moved back to town after being gone for almost 2 years. Outside of that there's not a whole lot outside of your basic chain places. Heck, we finally got an IHOP about a month or so ago if that tells you anything about this town lol.

The Colleton Co. Museum serves a good lunch. If you are willing to drive a distance I recommend the Firehouse Grill in Hollywood. They have great pizza and seafood, but can be expensive.

Ride over to Edisto Island as well to check out restaurants there.

Hope this helps.

I have eaten downtown at Carmine's more than once and it was always good if you like Italian. Then there is a country style buffet called Olde Town Cafe. It's ok.

The first place I thought about!

It doesn't help now, but they had the BEST fried chicken!

Stumbled onto Duke's about 10 years ago. It's my half-way point stop off I-95 when I'm heading hoe to see the folks.

first date with my wife was there

Snapped a picture as we were on our way to Florida for our honeymoon. It's at the beginning of our wedding album, and a real conversation piece when we tell people our first date was at a "motel". Best seafood for miles. And I figured if she was comfortable there she was a keeper!
