Advice on old guys of last generation (Long)

Aug 21, 2022, 10:28 PM

I’m tired of all these old heads always thinking they’re superior and have a right to tell me what to do. There are some cool old dudes like Ryan Reynolds or Michael B. Jordan, and even my real dad will cop me a pair of the new J’s every time they launch. But old guys just need to be quiet and stop listening to Bob Segar. No one knows who that is.

My step-dad is a real square. He texted me the other day before I was about to go to school. He says the weatherman said it might be chilly and to wear a coat. I’m like, “Bro, it’s like the middle of August. And stop writing your name at the end of every message you type. I know it’s you, Greg. I have you as a contact.”

He’s always on me about my future. I’m like, “Bro, you always on about my future. My future is like five years away, or maybe ten. Chill.” I’m going to be a social media influencer and drive a Lamborghini anyway, so step off, bro. He thinks he can bang my mom and have my respect? Nope.

His panties are in a knot right now because I quit football earlier this year. I wanted to unwind over the summer and just chill. I didn’t feel like running and stuff. I like to play video games, chase girls and look at my phone. But now that school is back, I want to be on the team again so I can dress up on Fridays and go to pep rallies.

My step-dad is always on about hard work and being a productive member of society. I work hard. I’m level 500 on Call of Duty. What does he have to show for it?

Any advice?

If I were you I would enlist in the Army to get away from that loser. They have oceanfront bases all over the world with cushy beds, quiet rooms, and exotic foods. Why deal with stress when you can sleep until noon, spend your afternoons at the pool, or taking target practice with free bullets?

You could be the next Private Benjamin!

offers pretty great advice. My younger brother joined the USCG, saw every island in the Caribbean, and made a great career out of it with lots of promotions and a good pension. You could do the same until you figure out your path. Good luck amigo!

You're right tiger kid, they'll figure it out eventually

Aug 21, 2022, 10:45 PM

if not sooner. But in the meantime, have a little respect and don't tell me not to listen to Bob Segar.

That is exactly what is wrong with this lazy generation. You will live in a pitiful world with your peers running the show.

Advice?

Yes. Post this poopoo somewhere else since it has nothing to do with Clemson football.

Work harder on doing things the right way.

Halo is not the real world.

I will share some words of wisdom with you...

Aug 22, 2022, 8:39 AM

that my father shared with me many many years ago.

He said, "You have choice. You can either listen to me and benefit/learn from my years of experience, or you can learn the hard way by running into the wall several times and getting your face all bloody. You'll learn some valuable lessons both ways, but my way will be a lot less painful."

Ur stepdad is really soft. I mean REALLY soft.

Aug 22, 2022, 9:35 AM

If I were you I’d keep taking advantage of him for as long as possible. Whiney Millennials are getting a taste of their own medicine and it’s hilarious.

But Seger's "Main Street" is one of the greatest I ever heard, and the guy could flat sing and write. One of the greatest male vocalists ever, and most underrated too. Many #1's

You dont need a future plan; as long as the Democrats have the keys to the voting machines they will make sure all your debts are forgiven, the earth will be saved from climate change, and youll have plenty of free government cheese.
